As I have mention in previous entries, I try to focus a cancer each to help bring awareness to it.
June is here, and awareness focus Sarcoma/Brain Cancer.
The ribbon awareness color is Yellow.
Did you know that Bone Sarcoma is very rare, with 2,890 new cases in the United States diagnosed each year. The occurrence of this cancer is slightly higher in males than females and is likely diagnosed in children. About 1,410 people diagnosed will pass away from it.
Causes of Bone Cancer are uncertain, but there are things that may increase the risks.
1. Children and Young Adults who have received radiation and/or chemotherapy treatments.
2. Adults with Paget’s Disease
3. Some are hereditary conditions
Pain is the common a symptom. Tumors are the joints that often cause swelling and tenderness.
